My local lidl (brum) had only a few fruit/veg items at half price today. Until a few weeks ago most fruit/veg was half price.Cash ISA rate 6.5% fixed for 2 years. Mortgage rate 0.75% = 5.75% profit on £75K = £4500 per year:j
Mortgages make money. Definitely don't wanabee mortgage free!0 -
Maybe its just me but I've found that a lot of the veg can be hit and miss, especially things like tomatoes, cucumbers etc sometimes seem to be past their best even when they've just been put on the shelf. I've always found their meat both cooked and raw to be great though...You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...0

Lidl special offers are reigonal so it's a good idea to say where you are when mentioning these offers - I'm in the south east and only selected fruit & veg is on offer at the moment. You can find out what offers are on in your local store by putting your postcode or town into the store search box on the website http://www.lidl.co.uk/0

We've bought Lidl fruit and veg in the past and always been vastly disappointed in both range and quality. They're great for dairy and household goods, but I wouldn't buy much else there.Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0

Has been half price in Darlington for a few weeks now but the stocks don't seem to have been able to keep up with the demand so not much choice when I was in there on Saturday.0

I prefer the Lidls that order low stocks of fruit and veg that are gone by the end of the day so you know the next day the stuff is only the daily fresh. I luckily have two stores to choose from, one piles the fruit/veg high and you have to watch for quality. The other one keeps supplies fresh and low and I overheard the manager specifically training a member of staff to order less especially no more than one box of cucumbers as they can go off. I have never had any quality problems shopping at the latter.
The only problem is that my region hasn't had all fruit and veg reduced for ages.0 -
There's good management and low stocks though. At 10am on a Saturday morning they shouldn't have only 2 jacket potatoes available!0
