It's an American term - it's the massive shopping Friday, the largest in the American year, when everybody's buying stuff. It's like the big explosion of a buying frenzy that kicks off this time of year, around one of their "bank holidays" at the end of November.
Everybody US-related will have a big sale for Black Friday, else they'll miss out on the frenzy.
Edit: Wiki says it better than I just did http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_%28shopping%290 -
Or it could be the start of a few days of deals - think a few deals a day, announced in advance, in very small quantities selling out in seconds. Some things are also not announced, just clues then they popup. Tend to find it makes most people rant and rave and the odd person happy!
Worth a look but don't get too excited!0 -
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
