I am looking for a new kitchen and bathroom for a rental property .
I dont want to spend loads as it might only be rented for a year or two but both are needed
any suggestions welcome.

MS Kitchens, aghalee (if you're within a 10 mile radius) for the kitchen

B&Q for their 'standard' bathroom set - £199 the last time i bought one though maybe more now
  • I'd recommend B&Q for the bathroom - got a cheap suite for our previous house as didn't want anything fancy and it was a small bathroom so no point spending a fortune. After 8 years (when we moved out), still looked great quality and no problems with any of the fixtures in that time.

I'd recommend them too for the kitchens, a wide range and some on the cheaper end as well as the pricer end. Went there for our old house and new house and again good solid quality. Wouldn't get them to install either though as that was very pricey.

Plus if you can hold off till after Christmas, or one of the 15% off weekends, so probably get a bit cheaper too.
  • VP Jebbs at Peters Hill (Belfast) - I got a bathroom suite, towel radiator, etc... from them recently and they are very good and cheap to go with it - a lot of the things we bought worked out a lot cheaper than B&Q.

I have had a very poor experience with SPENDLOVE C JEBB Grosvenor Road. May have been a one off, but all arrived late in the afternoon, had to be signed off, couldn't be checked due to wrapping and close to quitting time. Wrong parts, parts missing, mirrors with lights that did not fit nor work, bath panels missing etc. Caused all sorts of problems on site. Never again!!! Helpful enough sales staff and eventually most of it was sorted out, but it cost me time and wasted the time of plumbers. delayed tiling etc. I eventually gave up on the mirrors as my time was more costly than the items. I will never be back there.
