Good Value Laptop?

Options
A cheeky question, looking for some advice. Looking to buy a laptop. I want a cheap one, looking to spend about £300-400 on it and i'm really just trying to get as many features and power as I can get for this price range.

I found this one: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/nbrange.html?AXI

It is £350. The important parts I like about it are the 80GB hard drive, 512mb of memory, 15" screen that you get with it. I've tried a few other places like Dell, Kelkoo etc. and can't find anything else that matches or beats this deal. Does anyone know a better deal or another site to maybe check out before going ahead with this one?

All help is greatly appreciated!!:T

The laptop is a celeron which isnt that great, only good for office application and stuff but thats it.

    Look at this website
    http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/
I saw a laptop for £399 which has an AMD 64 Turion processor which is quite good. Just have a browse and you may find better ones

You may find better offers there, and also check dabs.com and ebuyer.com
  • Keep an eye on the Dell offers.

  • Ish, if I have basic needs for it, Internet browsing, word excel use etc will it be good for that? Is it a rubbish processor for games and stuff, is that what you mean?
Many thanks too, I will check out that website:beer:

well if you are ONLY going to use it for internet browsing and office applications and THATS IT, then its ok. The point is, with new software requiring faster processors, more RAM etc you need to have a computer that is capable of doing that so RAM is upgradable but processors arent or very very difficult so therefore its better to buy a better processor when you initially buy it.

    Hope that helps ;)
