..... And get/make some extra thick insulation for around the water tank as well ..... dont't forget to check/increase the insulation on the pipes too ...

After checking the internet I found Npower had 170mm insulation at just under a £1 per roll.So 19 rolls or 60 sq metres cost £19 with delivery. Just taken delivery so will be warm over the next couple of days fitting it.If all the clever contributors are correct I should get my money back this winter,
It seems this is part subsidised as energy companies contibution to alternative energy.A nimber of companies have thes offers. NB I am not an Npower customer for fuel. IWe were once but never again!
