I too have them, timble nose I call it, I think the only way to truly get rid of them is to have this thing called dermamicrobrasion (sp) not sure how its spelt but you go to a plastic surgery clinic.

I recall a thread somewhere which recommended milk of magnesia for removing blackheads. Apparently you apply it to your skin, leave it to dry or overnight and rinse off. Can't say i've tried it, but it could be worth a shot!0

Have you tried one of those facial cleaning products with the 'bits' in? I use one just over my nose (I believe sugar & a bit of moisturising cream/yoghurt does the trick also dependant on your funds & cupboard contents). If its just the odd 1, would a good old fashioned squeeze do the trick??? (forgive me if your squeemish) lolC Card £5218.68 (Feb 2011)£2 coins (No 085) - £190Mort overpayments 2011 - £418.060

"Blackheads: Blackheads result when a pore is only partially blocked, allowing some of the trapped sebum (oil), bacteria, and dead skin cells to slowly drain to the surface. The black color is not caused by dirt. Rather, it is a reaction of the skin's own pigment, melanin, reacting with the oxygen in the air. Blackheads tend to be stable structures, and often take a long time to clear."

It's probably not blackheads you have - if you say your nose is covered in them they're more than likely enlarged pores. Are they raised or do they all seem quite flush with the rest of your skin?
The pores on your nose get enlarged (due to a myriad of different factors), then the oil/sebum which the pore releases gets trapped and oxidises, giving it the appearance of being black.
Stop using all the treatments for blackheads. The best thing to do (in my own vast experience of the problem) is to make sure your face is washed and moisturised twice a day with OIL & ALCOHOL FREE products, and use a good exfoliator twice a week.
You could try some of the pore minimising products available (Neutrogena do a good range), but be prepared for a long wait before seeing the fruits of your labour. Enlarged pores take a while to develop so they don't disappear overnight, stick at it for 3-4 months and you'll notice a difference.
Hope this helped x0 -

I've just had my tea .. and didn't expect to be stepping into this affront to my digestion? Saw the heading of 'Blackheads', on a money saving thread, and assumed it was a new Credit Card with particularly low rates when used for hot holidays? Not .. er .. well .. blackheads.
Off for the indigestion tablets (and the mirror). If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
You can buy a small blackhead remover from any chemist. It's like a pair o9f tweezers but has a small hole at one end which you put over the blackhead thn push down and the blackhead come out. You can also buy the scrub moisterizer (with the bits in) which helps clean out the pores and makes your skin really soft.Competitions wins 2010

If you have a lot, as you suggest, then physically removing them is probably your best option. Hold a wet face cloth wrung out in hot water over the area first to soften them. Remove them, then dab area with cotton balls soaked with an astringent, such as Witch Hazel. An old remedy, but good and inexpensive, the Witch Hazel will help to close the pores.
Anyone suffering with an irritation of the skin, whether it is caused by using soap, make-up or by some other allergic reaction, try using Aqueous Cream B.P. It is available from Boots Chemist for around £3.00 for a large 500g tub. My doctor put me on to it some years ago when I had an allergic reaction to something. You can use it as a face wash instead of soap if necessary. It is a soft, loose white cream, rub it in, then wash off with warm water. It works really well.0 -
Might be an idea to try glycolic acid, not as scary as it sounds! Its the same stuff they use in facial peels in a beauty salon which you normally pay ££££ for! I bought some off this company last year (my ebay id in feedback is louisgreeneyes) and it works a treat! I think it can be used for many skin problems:
