  • I can never understand why so often information is not provided about how long a single charge lasts.
I bought an Oral-B which only lasted 6-7 days (now barely 4 days after 18 months) and my wife bought a cheap rechargeable from Aldi which works for 21 days before needing a recharge.

I agree, we have 3 Oral-B tooth brushes (Vitality) and now the charge barely lasts 2 days. These tooth brushes actually look a lot better quality than the Vitality model. Has anyone bought one before?

I'm thinking of getting an Oral B 3000 for £40 online.. special deal online at Boots this week.. but maybe I should consider getting this instead?

I wonder what speed it oscillates at? That is the key. Also if it just moves back and forth as well as side to side like the Oral B ones.
It doesn't mention anything like that in the description :(

I'm a great fan of their food - and of some of their weekly specials. I've found, though, that their electrical stuff is frequently not that good - a case very much of getting what you pay for. This could be a great little toothbrush, but my guess is that it's not going to be anywhere in the same league as the Braun Oral-Bs. They are a lot more expensive, though.
  • I know for the money they will not be the best electric toothbrush on the market, but I don't think that I am ever going to find out. I tried my Local Lidl at 11:00 am today to try and buy one and was tould that they had "all gone and that the spare brushes had all gone as well" There was no signage up in the store to say that they had ever been there. Personally I think that I was told a pack of lies and that they have not been sent out to any of the stores. When I contacted the customer services this afternoon the nice young lady on the other end of the phone said that they had been getting lots of calls about the toothbrushes. So Come on MSE ( Money Saving Expert ) Where are they???
    That's better!!
  • trouble with most lidl deals is they let dealers buy up all the stock - once watched someone get around 50 mp3s from there

I managed to get 2 of these today and a pack of replacement heads but had to go to 2 lidls to get them as the first one had sold out by 9.10am this morning and when I asked the manager if many went out he told me that 20 had been put out and sold out really quick. The other store that I finally got them at said that one lady bought quite a few and was giving everyone them for Xmas.

That's the thing with lidl deals sometimes you have to get there at 8am in the morning for them opening to get them as they go really quick.

Odd, isn't it? Sometimes the most unlikely things seem to sell out immediately, and other times something you expected to go quickly's still sitting there a week later.
  • None left at my two local stores this evening :(

Asked in one store and was told that they'd "been bought by an ebay trader".

Loads of spare heads left in all stores, though.
