Sky+ to scrap £10pm charge

There is a rumour going round that the £10 charge for Sky+ for those on the basic mixes will be scrapped next month.

I like the idea of getting Sky+ but haven't due to the monthly charge. Hope this rumour turns out to be true.

Makes sense. Basic Mix Sky plus looks very like any old Freeview PVR you can pick up for less than £99 anywhere now. Once people watching just the basic channels invest in the free version they won't be coming back to Sky without a struggle.
