vegatarian jelly

i want to make a triffle for my daughter in law,but she is a vegi,were can i get a vegi jelly?they only seem to be in crystals?

    The birds trifle mix is suitable for vegi's. Does it matter if they are crystals it still makes up to jelly?

    i didnt think they set as well as other jellys

    I use them regular and they set fine, never had a problem with them.

    I use the crystals from Holland & Barrett; I get a better result if I'm a bit stingy with the amount of water I add to the crystals; the packet says a pint, but I use 18 fluid ounces; and give it a really good stir to make sure all the crystals dissolve.

  • Rowntrees QuickSet jelly is veggie and available in supermarkets. Their ready made jelly is also veggie, so you could buy some of those and have a sort of 'chopped' jelly layer instead.
