Abercrombie sale

Has anyone ever bought anything from this site http://www.abercrombieuksale.co.uk/. I googled Abercrombie Outlet and came across this. I've looked at the FAQ's but I can't quite work out whether or not it's real or not. I'm looking for a cheapish fashionable winter jacket for my 16 year old son. Thanks

I normally go on the lines of if it is too good to be true, it normally is. After a quick check on http://who.is it appears the website was only registered on the 30 Sep 2011 and is registered to someone in Kent.

After looking at their FAQ which states this -

    Q. Why your prices are so cheap and the products 100% authentic ones?
    A. All the products are just directly stocked from container abroad like orders cooperated for wal-mart and so on. So there are various styles and enough sizes that you may have interest. And due to certain stocks from our own factory and non tax fees home and abroad,we develop our business enlarging cooperation broadly via sample offering and free shipping here, that is why the prices shown are so cheap. Just come on and catch a chance to enforce our development here. Our products are AAA quality mirror images to authentic products. With quite reasonable prices, you can just get what you want home.

From this statement i would say they are copys of the real thing.

If your son likes the style of Abercombie and Fitch maybe have a look at Hollister. Abercombie owns Hollister so many of the styles are the same but are cheaper and I believe has shops now in the UK too (norwich being one i think). Also another to look at could be American Eagle.

  • Thanks for that. I'll keep the who is site in mind next tiime. I thought it wasn't for real - the logo they use on the website is totally different from the A and F website but thought I'd ask if anyone had purchased from there. Having said that the jackets still look ok and a fairly reasonable price. I'll take a look at American Eagle

    Thanks again
  • Hi - I've been looking at purchasing something from a similar website - abercrombieuksales.co.uk

Last year I was caught out with a similar site and didn't get any goods but they still took my money! Any views on this site?

    thanks

Steve, it's a Chinese website which means every single thing they sell will be a poorly made counterfeit. Mind you they probably won't send you anything but still take the money.

The Domain Registration shows a fake address and that the website was only registered 10 days ago.

More worrying though is that the website also hosts Cnzz.com who, according to Web of Trust, engage in browser and operating system exploits.

I would seriously advise you to run an antivirus scan of your computer and, if you haven't already got it, to download, install, update and run Malwarebytes Antimalware. Don't worry it's free, safe and highly recommended on MSE. Just click where it says 'Download Now' on a blue background.

  • Hi All,

In my pre Christmas rush I bought some stuff from this website and have been "had".

I've been onto trading standards and my bank, its my first fraudulent experience with internet shopping and I feel a bit of a fool for not checking all the details.....but I hope this prevents someone else from the same fate.

    Glumly :(
