Quit my P/T job - p45/holiday pay/payslip?

Hi guys,
I quit my part time (15 hours, reduced to 8 in November) job in the middle of December. I'd been working there for 5 months.
Should I get my holiday pay in my last payslip?
When should I get my P45?
I read that I should have my payslip in my hand on or before the pay date (which is today, but obviously will be tomorrow due to it being Sunday today..) - I don't have it as yet. Is this illegal?
I know it sounds petty but after the way they treated me when I was working there, if they slip up as regards payslips/pay/anything.. well, I won't be too happy. (I was bullied by the Area Manager)
Thanks!

Your P45 should be with your payslip if they are efficient.
Didi you take your holidays that were due to you before you left?
I don't know about the legality of payslip deadlines but i will find out tomorrow.0 -
Left my previous job 21st Dec 2006 and still waiting for P45!!!!!:j Egypt 10th May - Here we come!!!:j0

I didn't take any holidays at all when I was working there (don't know how I survived LOL!)0

A P45 can only be issued once you have been paid for the last time. Your P45 will probably be along in the next few days once they have completed their month end for the payroll. If it was produced earlier the figures would be wrong."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0

And yes your holidays should be paid in this last payment to you."On behalf of teachers, I'd like to dedicate this award to Michael Gove and I mean dedicate in the Anglo Saxon sense which means insert roughly into the anus of." My hero, Mr Steer.0

The payroll department should normally enclose it with your final payslip however it's quite common for them to forget to get round to it. The P45 isn't automatically generated on the monthly payroll inputs but with software like Sage (which is the most popular software), an employee leaving needs to be manually input and then the system prompts the user to print off all the paperwork needed for themselves, the employee and HMRC.
If you are concerned about having it for a new job, don't. Your new employers can simply fill in a P46 which is the one page form used where no P45 is available - they then send it off the Inland Revenue to inform of your new employment details.Integrity is a dying art!:p0 -
Thanks everyone. Will have to see tomorrow if I've been paid my holiday allowance - how exciting.. ! (I'm not holding out hope)
At least the p45 thing won't be an issue, thanks for the advice.0 -
I've still not been paid
I'm about to phone head office - phoned yesterday to be told that the person who deals with it works part time and could I phone back tomorrow morning! It's a good job I don't have a mortgage and various bills going out - my student loan is keeping me afloat at the moment.. but I still had my rent payment go out yesterday.. GRR!
Is this legal??!
I'm phoning after 9, anything I can say to scare them a bit? From my experience with the company, they're absolutely useless - got my name right on ONE of my payslips! and other things I probably don't need to go into...

For a company to have a head office and therefore presumably two or more branches, it doesn't sound like a micr private business and therefore I would expect there to be a central Payroll department.
If it we me I would do the following;
When you ring, ask to be put through to Payroll, if they say there isn't a Payroll, ask to be put through to either Human Resources, Accounts or the General Manager.
I would have a previous payslip to hand to quote them your name, payroll number and NI number and confirm that despite your having made reasonable attempts to elicit payment of your final wage and P45, the branch office has failed to address the matter. State that you require verbal confirmation by no later than 3.30 pm today that a cheque for full amount of owed wages (including holiday pay) and P45 has been raised, you will be contacting acas to formally recover the monies owed.Integrity is a dying art!:p0 -
Thanks welshcakes - they are working out my holiday allowance and are getting back to me - apparently the store did not register me as leaving when I'd left! Grr incompetent!0
