    Sorry, nothing at all.

Be carefull as the 3.6 IG-TL gives the impression it has multiple strings and it doesnt. Also no MPPT and needs 370v to start working.
    Hi

It has a single MPPT and it does look like there are screw connections for up to 6 strings inside ..... http://www.fronius.com/cps/rde/xbcr/SID-B2B00F99-4490A7A3/fronius_international/42_0426_0074_EA_149621_snapshot.pdf (page 35)

The higher voltage would just mean that the string(s) could be configured differently .... the specs seem to convey that the unit is designed for operation at relatively high voltages to achieve maximum efficiency, so with certain panels one string would make sense ....

  • Its now 5pm on Friday not a word all day from EEC solar of Southport and they are not answering their phones or emails. How difficult is it to order some brackets that they should have in stock!?

Hope they are still trading, at least I have the panels and a Fronius inverter in my shed!
  • Had a call at 16:30, still not able to source brackets.

I suggested contacting a local engineering company to have them made.

They are looking into alternative brackets that may need some alteration to the tile, awaiting on an email showing me what amount of tile they would remove.
  • Racks/brackets were my problem too, my company searched all UK.

Now I have agreed to different panels with their own racks (TRINA 235W) and job could start in 3 days or so :)

My supplier had a brackets problem and the owner of the company had to do a three hour round trip on our first day to pick them up once he'd sourced an alternative supplier (no extra charge to me, I was very pleased with the service they gave me).
I wonder if there is a manic rush to install everybody before the FiT cutoff date, hence a shortage in supply?

  • Managed to get them back last Friday after all the bracket issues and still we had to go with different brackets. After he started they decide that the panels wouldnt fit as per the survey. Original plan was 3 landscape rows of panels in a 6,5,5 pattern, we ended up with 6 and 10 in portrait, the tenth one is not in a good place, partial shading. I have a 2 string inverter not the Aurora in the contact but a mastervolt xs5000!

Anyway its installed now and sent of the paperwork today and we have produced 12.2kw in the last 3 days(5, 2.4 and 4.8 today).

Basically just wanted it installed in the end poor chaps were hear to 11.30pm finishing the job.

I dont know what the bracket issue is surely a quick visit to a local engineering company will resolve!

    Interesting, thanks...

My panels finally went up today, and tested fine. Paid for, and now just documents to do (email) for SSE.
  • Panels all working, sure its being affected by the panel thats in the shade.

Anyway 277.7 units todate in 10 weeks
  • Now have managed to generate 3205 units in one year from my 3.76kw system just about offsets my electricty bill!!
