I have merged all the posts about the 25% off offer at M&S into one thread to unclutter the board a bit.

    Thanks lilacbridget.

Does anyone know if Marks normally do the 25% off on bags? Or is that just wishful thinking on my part. :)

I want a leather bag for my OH but it is £99 at the moment.
I remember about a month ago, they had a Deal of the Day with 25% off mens bags. Don't know about ladies. Just need to keep checking the site, i suppose.

Last year I did manage to get a mans messenger bag in the sale which was down to £39 from £99. It was a bit of a fluke - I knew from the on-line sale it was reduced but in the store they were still marked full price. It scanned at reduced price.

Mens & kids boots reduced by 25% for one week only :D
They had the same offer a few weeks ago so they must not be selling well.

Is this defintiely in-store as it was on-line only last time?

I work for M&S, and am positive that the offer is running in store aswell as online.

I'm going to buy a pair for my husband, so will get 45% off :rotfl:knew there was a reason I work there.

I don't think this is a good merge. I understand what you are trying to do but if I was looking for kid's clothes, I wouldn't be drawn to the footwear message. Likewise if looking for men's hats, scarves and gloves for presents i would not be drawn to the footwear message. Also my 3rd listing for ladies partywear, jewellery, hats, scarves and gloves - if I was looking for these items I would not be drawn to the footwear message.

I do think a lot of people are going to miss out on these Grabbits and, after all, that is the purpose of the Grabbit Board to quickly bring these items to peoples' attention. Maybe when merging messages the wording in the Headline message should be changed to include the other Grabbits to get the message out to all.

Thanks for your good work though in monitoring the boards but I just thought this was important when I saw how many had benefitted from yesterdays toys and books message and how not many people have benefitted by 11.30 am from the merged messages as they are now hidden. :(

  • The title looks like it just about covers it all to me.

but they're all accessories or clothes, so I really don't understand what the problem is!

sorry, but how do you know how many (or how few) people have benefitted? You will have no idea how many people have gone to the Marks site due to these posts, merged or not.

Or are you quantifying it by the number of thanks you have, in that you wanted your threads to stay seperate to up your thanks count?

and maybe the reason more people liked the toys and books thread yesterday was because it was a better offer!

I stand corrected. I have obviously not read the title properly. I didn't notice the kid's clothing in the title - Oops! Although ladies partywear is not included so maybe title could be altered to draw people's attention to that. My apologies. I better slow my reading down lol! ;)

Disappointed by your reaction but I'm only trying to help people. I took the time to read a great number of messages that people had taken the time to put on yesterday and many people have said that they are short of money this year and that it really helped them. Yes, the toys and books offer at 50% off was fab but many people also bought the PJs at 25% off also.

I don't care how many thanks I get, although I do try to thanks OPs as I like to be appreciative. If people do thank others, that is nice, but I am not bothered in any way about that but I was just so delighted to read the many messages and how it did help people save a little bit of money.

I don't think you should be so horrid with comments like this when all I wanted to do was help others.

CAn you maybe confirm when you have been in at work, please? My snearest store is a 50mile round trip. I ordered on-line the lastt ime and they had to go book as they didn't fit. I'd rather try on in-store this time.
