warning tesco evouchers refunds on clothes

I had doubled up 90 pounds worth of points up to 180. Got evoucher codes fine and ordered on tesco.com online for clothes and some boots. Everything was fine but boots too small. Went to local tesco extra to return boots. The boots cost £19.50 of my points (vouchers) but they only offered me a couple of pounds, not the return of my full doubled up points. I said if that was the case Id get more if I kept the boots and tried to sell them. The guy was really rude too which didnt help matters. I got upset and a lady came up to me and served me instead, allowing me to exchange the boots for some pyjamas and sock slippers, amounting to the same amount. It is policy not to refund you the full amount. Apparently ive had the voucher offer once and if they dont fit - well tough. So be warned about purchasing clothes or shoes online. If they dont fit you may lose out. Try them in store first. And I would be wary of getting clothes as xmas gifts for others in case they dont fit too. I was lucky because I complained and another supervisor intervened.

  • I placed 2 orders with 3-4-2 on nightwear, £10 off code(£40 spend) and paid in doubled up vouchers. Bits out of stock on both orders which brought total below £40 so not benefit from £10 of either order. The prices were 'evened out' across the balance of the cost of the order... and no refund. Tried to call several times, on hold over 10mins.... as I was 2 pairs pjs and 1 dressing gown short overall. Finally got through after 5th attempt of being on hold and was told that the difference was in my F&F a/c and I could contact clubcard to have them transferred back to regualr vouchers... Called clubcard to be told the wait time was at least 10 mins! Gave up.... but placed another order today to incl personal 10% code via facebook
