VOA website shutdown?

I've been trying to access the VOA website many times throughout the day. I realise the site is busy but it's past midnight and I still see the message:

"We are currently experiencing a higher demand than usual"

Has the website has been disabled to stop people viewing their council tax information?

Regards
Jeff K

They have barred access via the frontdoor.
I haven't got through frontdoor once, EVEN AT 3am.

    Try via the backdoor.

    Backdoor:

    Frontdoor:
    http://www.voa.gov.uk/

    It is a conspiracy !!
  • I have tried several times over past week through the 'backdoor option' but still keep getting the message 'web site not responding' have the VOA closed down the site?

I can get through backdoor, but it's very slow.
I think they have blocked access via frontdoor.

Probably crashed. Remember its the weekend and there is a sudden interest in the site.

Websites crash when they are overloaded with too much traffic. And this is a Government website so don't expect it to be the best.
  • They have obviously shut the front page down to put people off from going there. We need Martin to report them on ITV !!!
