Phillips bailiffs

I have been ignoring a fine for months and months now and now I have a letter from the bailiffs saying they came to my property with the intention of seizing my goods. It's for a total of 395.00 and I can't pay this off in full. I can afford 100.00 a month. Is this a acceptable amount to pay or will they be looking for full payment.

Cheers

    council tax ?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

He says "fine", but is just as serious as CT.

Hopefully they will accept the offer of repayment. It's not an unreasonably low amount.......;)

More serious as bailiffs enforcing a court fine are allowed to force entry (whereas for CT they must get peaceable entry first), although this is supposed to be a last resort.

Also if they can't cover the fine from siezing goods (highly likely given that they take their fees first) then courts are vastly more willing to give custodial sentences for non payment of fines than non payment of CT.

Long story short make a payment arrangement.
