can we get our money back...dodgy motor!
hi all
i could really do with some advice.
we bought a renault scenic 1.4l on 23/09/2011 so about 2 months ago. we bought if from a used car dealer, doing a trade in from our old motor and paying some cash.
anyways the accelorator jammed making the car unsafe to drive, thankfully my husband wasnt going fast and didnt have the kids in the car.
to be fair hes found it a pain to drive since we got it, the car juddering (i dont drive so cant explain it lol) he thought it was just getting used to driving it.
so where do we stand as its only 2 months since we got it, we got it from a dealer not a private seller and its dangerous to drive??
any help would be greatly appreciated

you can take it back for them to put the faults right, but i don't think they're under any obligation to give a refund.0

What has the dealer said so far?0

As above. Have you called them and asked? What was their response? You need to ask/give the opportunitiy for them to fix it in the first instance.

my husband works on the same industrial unit as the dealer (the dealer rents land from my hubbys boss) but hes never in. i believe the car is 2002. its not getting stuck on the mat wish that was the problem!
i dont think we will have much joy, even for a repair but my husband doesnt agree.0
