    sorry should have added, was there any CCJs issued associated with the debt as there is no time limit as such on CCJs.

    I have no idea with regards CCJs would I have been told? I was truely on the understanding that the account was settled with the Halifax. It wasn't in joint names just mine.

    assuming they knew your address etc then to get a CCJ you would have been summoned to court.
