Not happy at all, I ordered on the 15th and I have just received an email stating one of the item's I've ordered is out of stock and has been cancelled, if they would of told me this sooner I would of brought it from store at half price, how can I complain, and today is the last day so even if I was to go to town tomorrow, it will be back up to full price anyway.! Not happy.!
An item I wanted was also cancelled from my order (which I am still waiting for), so I wrote to complain by email - saying that delivery on that item was already dated Jan '12 and I was quite happy to wait (DD birthday in Jan so not a problem to miss it for xmas). Before I got their reply I saw it was back in stock (very briefly) on the website - although again delivery in Jan.
In their reply they seemed to think that they had put it back on order for me. When I emailed again to ask for free delivery to be reinstated - as per my original order they have done so (and offered the 10% off when it arrives). So I would definitely email them and say that you are happy to wait for it to come back in stock - got to be worth a try.
I've used M&S loads of times for orders, and this has to be one of their more chaotic moments.0 -
Still looking for a code if anyone has one they wont be using ... had my delivery but nothing with a code on it for me just the invoice0

Does anyone know if you can add an item to an order once you've checked out? I can only work out how to remove an item
Don't think you can do this. I queried it with them in the summer and they said the only thing you can do is place a brand new order including the extra item, and cancel the existing order.0 -

If you only just received your delivery without the leaflet with the code, you could email them to explain and they should give you another as they may have just made a mistake.0 -
I contacted CS yesterday about: 1) an item removed from my order and no notification 2) an email they sent about a bra which I hadn't even ordered 3) a date for delivery for Emily Button toy 29 December - a Christmas present and 4) no delivery date at all for knickers.
The response was hardly apologetic saying that the toy and knickers would likely be cancelled also! I fired off a strongly worded reply and have just received emails advising all items now being delivered tomorrow! Seems it's worth complaining.“Rain drops are not the ones who bring the clouds.”0 -

Wow!! Well done on your result!! Fabulous news! I should come to you for advise on how to deal with these matters! I think they have been very good at brushing off customers.0 -

I shall give that a go actually thanks. I see on UKHD that it was an offer on their site to get such a voucher so, they will see I haven't used one so hopefully will let me have one. Bit of a shame though as I had hoped to get in with the toys tonight before it ended.0 -

Just in case you're reading the leaflet and thinking the £10 off code can only be used in December, my leaflet says 'Valid until 4 December 2011' and on the back it explains it has to be used by that day so watch you don't miss out.

I'm going to use my £10 code off a £50 spend tonight for a fleecie beanie hat for my adult son and fur lined slippers in 2 sizes for my husband but I will need to return one pair. Unsure of size due to the fur. I'm also going to buy a cotton polo neck which I looked at in the store today. Does anyone know if my order goes below £50 once I return a pair of slippers, will this still be okay. I think it will come to £51 so I'll get £10 off. Once I return the size which doesn't fit it would then reduce my total to £37. I will be paying by credit card so do you think they will then charge me the £10 again? If I thought this was the case I would order something else. Hope someone can help with info on this. Thanks.:)"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0
