Aaarrrggghhhhhhhhhh!!!

Ok, I know...a little dramatic but thats how I feel at the mo. Just wondering how I still never have any money even though I work bloody hard!! My phone has just been cut off and I can't make a payment until the 7th of Feb......unfortunately looking for somewhere new to live because of a dodgy landlord and lots of mice (I thought it was no pets!!).

Although compared to many people on this site I don't have that much debt I still feel like I'm drowning. I first joined this website about a year ago when I managed to claim some charges back from capital 1 (hahahahahaha). Unfortunately I haven't managed to do much about my debts since then, and they've probably got bigger if anything!!

At the moment I'm considering a loan of any type, dodgy or otherwise, just to pay it off and then have a manageable amount whilst rebuilding my credit.

If anyone has any better suggestions then please feel free to suggest ANYTHING!! I truly am open to suggestions.

  • Is the SOA details of interest etc? I don't have any of the paperwork with me (or at all in some cases) as I've been in uni and moving quite often!

I have had two of the debts sold on again (I think third time) but haven't heard anything from one of them. The other one has started calling me earlier and earlier in the morning now though (earliest 8.05) so will see what happens with them. Anyone dealt with Link Finance?

  • Oh and my letter to close my Cap 1 will go off this week. I did ask them to close it but they haven't and then I made the mistake of keeping it just incase for xmas (but didn't spend on it!!). Maybe I am starting to see sense at last!!!

God the big glass of wine in my hand really isn't helping my typing!!!

I know I shouldn't have bought the wine but it was this or a night out!!!

An SOA is a statement of affairs - if you read southernscouser's sticky at the top of this forum you'll be able to get an idea of what to include. It's basically a list of all your expenditure (food, bills etc) and your income (salary, benefits etc) and then all your debts too. People will then try and give some suggestions on where you can make savings etc.

  • Ok thanks. I'll try and do that tonight.

Hiya!! Are you feeling any better about things? It is tough so I really feel for you, but DONT DONT DONT get a dodgy loan as you'll only regret it and end up paying about 100 times what you should in interest. If you have a good credit rating perhaps a consolidation (with a reputable company) may be an option, but only if you STOP using other forms of credit.

Are you sticking to a realistic budget? There's nothing worse than setting yourself a budget which is too low and unrealistic and therefore harder to stick to.

Post your SOA and we will make some suggestions and try and help!

    xx
