Evening all. Welcome to the newbies, happy birthday to the birthday guys/girls. Congrats on the debt busting to everyone.

Jakes-mum - if your clothes have holes then you defo deserve some new ones. You must be one of the hardcorest of us all :)

Just finished wrapping presents (well OH did it for me) and I have a much smaller pile than last year but I'm happy at only spending £50 per person. I even made a few presents :)

  • Tomorrow will be the last bit of debt busting I get to do before Christmas, and I'm already a little skint so I doubt there'll be much until January payday apart from the loan and credit card DD's that I've budgeted for.

On the plus side, I should be well into four figures by the time the end of January comes around, and I have a sharesave maturing in the summer which I hope will come in very handy too.
    DFW - DEBT FREEEEEE!

    Total - 10762/10762 :)

Every silver lining has its cloud.

Dont mention wrapping - I have been avoiding mine. Normally I love it but I cant get motivated to do it this year. Every time I open my wardrobe I see the presents looming. I cant put it off for much longer though.

I sent a complaint letter to HBSC and they agreed to give me £50 compensation for their many c0ckups! I checked my account today and they'd only paid in £25 so another angry complaint sent off...:eek::eek:

Please come to mine, only one child to wrap for, but haven't the energy to get round to it!
  • Hi

Can you add me please! I've been planning on doing the same thing but could use the support.

I've got £14500 to pay off. I've worked out a plan for getting rid of at least 7k of this in 2012, but would love the push to bump this up and get rid of the whole damn lot 2 years ahead of schedule!

  • Jakes Mum I definitely think you deserve some new clothes, treat yourself its CHRISTMAS in just 3 sleeps :j

I got some money back off work today that they owed me so I quickly paid £160 of my CC. Got paid yesterday too but don't want to transfer money into the main account until the 1st as I know we will dip into it which could be dangerous.

Also did a budget Christmas food shop, using vouchers so was happy with how much we spent as last year we spent double.:D

First update report on payment :j
