hi all my wife has worked for her company for 20 years and its only ever been part time from 9 hrs to 15 hrs a week..She is due to go in hospital shortly and have a big back operation...is she entitled to sick pay.........thanks
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

She will get Statutory Sick Pay after the first three days, assuming she earns over £102 pw, but anything else is down to what her contract/staff handbook etc might provide.0 -

She has a contract, it just may not be written down. It is highly likely that an employer who does not issue written contracts does not pay contractual sick pay either, but you could ask.
Otherwise, I'm afraid she will get no sick pay. I'm not sure about other benefits - not my area.0 -
If she doesn't qualify for SSP and her employer doesn't run an occupational sick pay scheme which she is entitled to, she'll get a SSP1 form from her employer stating she's not entitled to sick pay.
She'll then be able to put in a claim for Employment Support Allowance.

However she hasn't paid National Insurance contributions for the last 2 years she won't qualify for contributions based and therefore she'll be income assessed.0 -

Just to clarify, you have to earn an average of £102 per week over the previous 8 weeks.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
