Wonga Loans on Credit Report
Hi Guys
Got into the trap of these loans over the last year, now paid off in full & shudder at the thought of how much it has cost me since.
Anyway, all of these loans now appear separately on my credit report (even though they have all been paid back) so it makes it look as if I have 20+ credit accounts when in reality I have 4 - 1 credit card, 2 phones & a Littlewoods account.
Does anybody know if I can get these removed? It is having a adverse affect on my credit rating which is very annoying.
Thanks :T
Kieran

If you rolled them over it is a new loan. You simply repaid the interest and took a new loan.0

Thanks for your reply Apples. So it's going to be 5-6 years before they disappear. My own fault entirely for taking them out but it's still annoying! 0 -
I didn't think that Wonga loans appeared on your credit report? I've had between 10 - 20 Wonga loans, are they all going to appear on my credit report? :-\Current debts:
Wonga Loan - £0 :-)
Vanquis Credit Card - £500 (£500 limit)
Aqua Credit Card - £250 (250 limit) :-(
NatWest Credit Card - £500 (£500 limit)
NatWest Current account - £-1990 (£2000 overdraft limit)

Yep - they show as something like credit agreement type 'advance against income'. And even if repaid on time will definitely put off any other potential lenders who you might have wanted to borrow from at least in the short term - as payday loans are a sign of not being able to manage on your income.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

How do you know they are having a adverse effect on your credit rating?
You can't have them removed, they will drop off in six years.0 -
Yeah I read about this. Its a way to let lenders know more about you. Even subprime door step lenders are now at it. They are supossed to help boost your score so you can get out of subprime borrowing but im bot convinced. If you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...:think:0

They look like dog shitt on your credit record."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

It was an assumption I suppose. 21 credit accounts as opposed to the 4 I actually have, doesn't look good.
17 of those credit accounts should be marked as settled;)
With the above said any lender who pulls your file will know you borrowed money from the payday loan companies.
Time is a great healer.0 -
i had one for £65 pure profit, it appeared on my file and hasnt effected me in anywayDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
