Hi all, not sure if this is right place but hope so!
long story short I had an idea for an invention and didn't have the foggiest idea what to do with it. So I submitted it to davison.com.
A fella rang me yesterday to arrange a half hour phone appointment for lunch time today. sooo, I started doing some further digging and all I can find is bad reports of people saying they lost their life savings because of davison.com, basically it looks like a scam?
Now I'm panicking cos he's ringing me in 2 hours!!!
I'm also hugely disappointed cos a) I've been a gullible ninny!! and b) I have belief in my idea but don't have the knowledge to do anything with it!!
Any advice on what I should say, or what I should've done in the first place?? Anyone else have a similar experience???
Thanks all x

How much have you told them? My late Dad was a patent agent, I always remember him saying never tell anyone anything about your ideas. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

I submitted roughly a sentence describing my idea, enough to give them the basic jist of my idea!!

Try http://www.trevorbaylisbrands.com/ This has been set-up to help would-be inventors with all the steps required to patenting a product/idea. They charge a fixed-fee to assess the idea to check it's viability, see whether there is already something out there that does the same job, then send you a report of their recommendations. They will even do the patenting stuff for you and find a company to help develop the idea.Never Knowingly Understood.

Surely they approached you because they thought your idea was good? And you must of told them enough to get interested? Not really sure what you can do now they already know, I wouldn't go submitting a potentially good idea to any old website.0

And certainly dont give them any money up front.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Hi Lula, why don't you get in touch with Business Link regarding your invention. They will definitely point you in the right direction for who to contact. Alternatively, check out their website, which can be found via any search engine.0

With regards to whether the company was legit or not I don't actually know but they were nothing but kind and understanding and not at all pushy so who knows!
