Will applying for a Nectar card affect my credit score?

I am thinking of applying for a loan from Sainsburys and am keen to take advantage of the lower interest rate offered to Nectar card holders. I do not currently have a Nectar card. I have a couple of searches which will show on my credit file from the past month (as a result of a remortgage application and a credit card application, both of which were successful).

Will applying for a Nectar card result in a hard search that will show up on my credit file?

No, a nectar card is not a credit card. Though they do sell their own credit card so make sure you are applying for the right one.
