hi does anyone knowhow much the maternity grant is these days,and when u can claim for it.many thanks in advance.dollop

    hiya you can claim the grant anytime over 30 weeks pregnant and up to the baby is 3 months old! it is £500 per child.

    my partner is expecting her 1st child on 30th may. she is currently in full time education on a placement degree and is having to take a year out for the baby before returning for the final years study.

    we currently live together and the house etc is in my name. my annual income is 26,000 p.a. however my partner will only be able to work part time until returning to study and finishing the degree.

    is there any help/benefits available for us through this or does anyone have any help/advice/bargins which could help with the extra cost whilst we only have one income coming in?
