is Transend a good make?
arrgh - just checked the reviews and there was a bad batch around August/September that lost peoples pictures & they've hjad trouble getting the promised replacements from transcend. Think'll pass:eek:"And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -
I really would love a Baratza Preciso
though until I've saved up for it, then the manual Hario does a fab job for pretty much a tenth of the price :rotfl: or I could just settle for a Gaggia MDF but really I think I should just wait until I can get the Baratza.
There was a Dualit burr grinder that was getting good press at one point as a budget option. I didn't go for it, not sure if they still do it. I'd stick with the manual. You've inspired me to get one for myself, going to have a google for the Hario.

For those disappointed not to get a coffee maker, there are lots on special offer on Tesco Direct, and they are also part of the double-up clubcard deal. The T40 which I think was the one on Black Friday for £49.99, is £69.99 at Tesco, but you could get it for half that with Clubcard Vouchers. The Dolce Gusto piccolo in black is £49.99 and also part of the double-up deal. Obviously only of use to you if you have enough clubcard vouchers to spend.
Sadly the T40 has been out of stock since the offer started.0 -
they did the same one for £8.99 last monday , got mine today ,a very good make , lifetime guarrentee too !!

I did notice earlier when browsing the kitchen section on Amazon that they have some good offers on the Kenwood Chefs (at least 33% off) might come in handy for those who miss out on the Kitchenaid. Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0 -
