IssyC - I know certainly for me money is a lot tighter this year so I've had to be a lot more organised about spending and what to get people which has meant I've bought things on offer in bits rather than doing a big xmas shop. I haven't wanted to risk leaving it to chance and not being able to get what I wanted and buying something else/more expensive.

Saying that I have bought 4 or 5 things this year as extra little stocking fillers or for myself whereas last year I didn't buy a single thing. It was quite difficult to get anything last year though and I know from reading other forums that people were just grabbing as many cheap deals as they could even if they didn't really want them... maybe the novelty has worn off this year?!?

That's just my opinion anyway. I've never really posted on here until today but this thread and all of the giggles has made me want to start posting :D

I'm glad that you've started posting.

I agree to a certain extent with what you say but I still find it strange that there are so few people on here compared to last year.
