Try viewing it in a different browser; I recommend the same to anybody having trouble viewing the deals. If you're getting the circle when the timer reaches 00:00 instead of seeing the item, you might have a Javascript problem -- try Google Chrome (google.com/chrome; as a newbie I can't post real links) because it works brilliantly with javascript and has it enabled by default!
Also I think some people are clicking on the item name and then adding to their basket, which won't work. You need to click on "add to basket" or "choose option" on the deals page itself.
Anyway, I'm really hoping the Wonders of The Solar System/Universe books are reduced enough that I can justify buying them (ie >50% - I know, a girl can but dream!) I just love Professor Cox.
The price for both books is showing as £40 but if you buy the books separately they are showing as £8 and £10.99p each. I'm assuming they are the same books.

Hmmm, these socks coming up, who in the right mind actually pays £10 per pair? Going to have to be some damn good discount on these...
Just been checking out the US Black Friday store too, seems they got a lot more in the 'technology' categories but all pretty much stuff you'd never really think of buying. I guess a sole purpose of BF is to get those in-laws presents...right?0 -

I got 2 of the Kipling bags - Claudine £116 & the one at £99.
Paid for them & then thought "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" I didn't even like them.
Took me 10 minutes to cancel them as they said they were preparing for dispatch.
There is NOTHING I remotely want on there so am going to close the site down and relax instead.
I don't care if they do those big boxes of chocs again - I DON'T WANT THEM!
I MUST remember - It's NOT a bargain if you don't need or really want it!0
