Thanks for replying to my post, just in case you find this useful, there is a review from an American site recommending buying a half size smaller than you would normally buy. If you search for Rockport Janae Pump review you should find it. Not sure if I am allowed to post the link...

the way today has been going, i wouldn't be at all surprised if the price has actually got up a few pence from last night!
