So, do you reckon the people who decided what was going into the lightening deals are sitting in their office having a good ol laugh??
(or siiting in their £5 pair of socks palying a £70 game drinking shakes or instant coffee)
There have been a few good things that have sold well but if I was the CEO of Amazon I would be looking to see which heads were going to roll for some of the tat that has been on here. :rotfl:0 -

Hi- I've only just thought to check this thread and can't really go back through 80 pages to catch up lol but does anyone else think the sale this year so far is pathetic in comparion to last year's? Haven't bought one thing yet! Last year I did all of my xmas shopping during the sale!
Like a night of passion it will unfold slowly, teasing each step of the way, until it explodes into a crescendo of earth moving pleasure...that's the idea anyway0 -
I found one thing I wanted that was a pretty good deal, but not crazy good. If these really were smoking hot deals, they'd be very limited quantity and people would have a moan about that. In the States, the best Black Friday deals typically are just that Friday morning (though some actually do a few on Thanksgiving itself or have special offers over the weekend -- but the BIG deals are Friday) and involve getting up in the wee hours to line up in the cold for a store's extra-early opening hours. There are some really hot deals, but you have to go to a lot of trouble to get them and of course so many people show up that just the first in are getting that nice TV for $100 or whatever the deal is. There's just no way stores can make the super hot offers available on a large scale, especially when it's online and you have a lot more people going for them.
If you don't expect to find many hot deals here, but rather a few fairly good ones here and there, you won't be disappointed. I much prefer a mild deal found sitting in the comfort of my home to going out in Black Friday shopping madness for a slim chance at a hot deal, so this isn't so bad.0 -
