Completing the FiT application form

My solar PV system is due to be installed next week and once the installation is completed then it will be necessary to make the FiT application and since British Gas is currently my energy supplier then it may make sense to make the FiT application with them. I also understand that with British Gas it is possible to make the application via email which in my eyes allows the process to be speeded up.
I have now downloaded the FiT application form from BG in order to familiarize myself with it. Most of the items in the form are I think straight forward but one item asks for the “Declared Net Capacity (kW):” which I’m unsure of. The PV system is/will be composed of 15 x 255w panels = 3.825kWp but I shouldn’t imagine this is the “Declared Net Capacity (kW):” more than likely the Gross Capacity. Is perhaps the Net Capacity the maximum that can be delivered by the inverter? In this instance an “Aurora PVI-3.6-OUTD” with the following output parameters;
In which case I assume that the "Declared Net Capacity (kW):" would be 3.6kW.
Your thoughts would be most welcomed.

Nominal AC Power (up to 50°C).... 3.6kW
Max. AC Power ……….. 3.96kW

The capacity will be on your quote. It will be also on the MCS cert when you get it. Simply multiply the no. of panels by their wattage i.e. I have 16 * 245w = 3.92.

Thanks for that but I'm not too sure, if you look at the FiT application form for Eon (similar to the BG application form) that asks two questions in this regard;1) What is the total installed capacity of your generator in kWFrom the Eon questions then the answer to Q1 would I think be, in your case 16 * 245w = 3.92kW and in my case 15 * 255W = 3.825kW but I don't think Q2 would be the same answer and Q2 is the same question as posed by BG.
2) What is the declared net capacity of your generator in kW

Same answer for both questions. At least that's what the installer told me to do.

As has been said above everything you need will be on your MCS certificate.
I registered with British Gas and have found their FITS team helpful and efficient. My registration was completed and I received my contract 5 working days after posting my application.
I would recommend phoning them directly with any questions as the information required does differ between companies.0 -

Some people just won't be told will they?:o ....... The BG help line confirms what you said.
Thanks for your help.
