Blank audio tapes

Does anybody still buy these besides me ? I record 1 hour radio prorammes every week so I need C120 s. Unfortunately, I have noticed that the supply is drying up. The High Street stores have an unlimited quantity of C90s and C60S on the shelves but that is no good to me as it would mean a break in the programme. I have done a search and found some sites charge more for delivery than the price of the tapes inc. vat. Can anyone recommend a site or will I have to get my head (and my wallet) round one of these new fangled digital gizmos ?

Why not plug your hifi into your line in or mic socket on your PC - then with suitable software (there are lots of free recording programs that let you record and schedule - just search on google and look through until you see one that takes your fancy depending on your needs and what sort of interface you like)

If you want to take the recording round you can burn it onto CDR or CDRW and listen to it in a CD player (CDR has better compatibility but CDRW means you can re use it as many times as you like)

And you could always treat yourself to TV card with built in radio to save on the wiring. I am using the Leadtek Winfast 2000 Expert - available on www.ebuyer.co.uk for around £20 - a real bargain

Thanks for the info Russ but.....I'm working off a laptop so I couldn't fit one of them there cards, or could I and secondly my motors 4 years old and has only got a tape player in. I've got a portable c.d. but it would involve connecting it up and then putting it out of sight when parked up. Besides that though, I tape a geezer called Garrison Keillor every Saturday on radio 7. He does the voice overs for the Honda commercials and part of his programme is a 10 minute dialogue. I am editing these onto one tape. After a stressful day, it is serious chill out kit guaranteed to remove lifes worries. Being advanced in years, I doubt whether I would be capable of performing editing operations using todays technology. Back to the drawing board.
Queensway boy, can't say I've heard of Music Zone (I really will have to get out more) but I'm gonna do a search for them after posting this, thanks.

Queensway Boy, found one of those stores in B'ham but.....I've found what I consider to be a reputable site who will knock them out for a pound and a penny each (inc. v.a.t. and p.& p.), if I order a pack of ten. I'm gonna try this option first, the saving will be decent but more importantly the thought of not having to drive in city traffic thrills me tremendously. Thanks for your info., I may have to use it.
