Doing own wedding album

Just a heads up if people are doing own wedding album.
Yesterday I just bought jessops event photo album for £7.95, I got it from the store, it said it was half price, bargain. On the website its for £7.95 as well.
Has 40 white interleaved pages, little window at the front for a photo and white/silver ribbon on the left hand side (top/bottom).
I then ordered photos from snapfish and got 50 photos for free with 50FREEPRINTS code.
I've actually really enjoyed getting everything myself, I got embellishments off ebay so will be designing every page myself, cannot wait.
It was the album that was taking forever to find, wanted plain pages not the album with photo slots and most photo shop places were £18 upwards for an actual wedding themed album.
I'll be making my own little label as well for the front. Exciting....

Hey continualdiamond, we got married on Friday 11/11/11 and I just bought that exact album the day before! It was a total bargain and I too wanted a plain white one which I could personalise, have already got my thistles and tartan ribbon at the ready - just need the piccies now.0

Thanks ContinualDiamond
I got this from WH Smith at the weekend - hadn't even thought to look in Jessops! I also bought some card and pretty stickers to dot around too! I'll probably do it a bit like a scrapbook, with some words in and bits I collected along the way.
We're getting our official one done to as it was part of the package - but looking forward to doing my own!
Had some real problems with Photobox - they couldn't really deal with the size of the order (over 1000 prints!) - the colours were off on some, some things were duplicated etc. However, they have a "satisfaction guaranteed" policy so have reprinted all. I now have lots to give to my mum for free :beer:Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93
Crazy Clothes Challenge # 103 - £84/£200 £30 Coat/£12 shirt/£23 jeans/£6 t-shirt/£13 2 x tops

Is THIS the one? It looks lovely in the photo and is indeed a bargain!
Wilkinsons used to do nice ones too, but they seem to have stopped recently.
Yep that is the one. I tried wilkinsons as well, couldn't find anything, just really boring. Max spielmann had a lovely one for £18, but just didn't jump out at me.
The Jessops one really did.
I looked in WH smith, store that is, but they had nothing that was weddingish, if that makes sense.
I didn't like photobox, I did 50 free prints with snapfish and photobox about a month ago and really loved snapfish quality and the option of borders. Photobox colour quality was just poor and for some reason some photos weren't 6 x 4 like I had ordered. As they were free, wasn't worth getting them redone.
Mine is going to be a bit like a scrapbook. I got a lot of embellishments off ebay, like 'bride', 'groom', 'cutting the cake', that sort of thing. As I made our invites, the same shade of teal and gems will be used throughout the album as well as the butterflies I put on the invites.
Loved doing all this myself, our wedding was very small so a professional album doesn't fit into the feel of our wedding.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160
