Hi
Is this allowable
X is director of LTD company with partner
Draws small regular wage on LTD company payroll
X had a contract that ended 3 months ago X has incurred expenses travelling to various contractors attempting to secure more work
X gets offered work BUT new contractor will only do it as employed on a perm contract
X wants to get a sub contractor role but with nothing on the horizon has taken this role as a stop gap
As a director of a LTD company
1) Is X allowed to submit expenses & mileage through his LTD co for work seeking activities up to his employment
2) Is X still allowed to continue to draw small salary from LTD co whilst working as full time employed
3) If X carries on looking for sub contracting role whilst employed is X allowed to claim travel expenses etc..
Thank you in anticipation

X should read his memorandum and articles of incorporation and his company polices, because that is where X will get his answers.0

Yes, you can be both self employed and employed at the same time.
Just keep the bookwork separate for each and you should not have a problem. However, on the LTD company side as it will be trading, you need to keep returns up to date. If the turnover is minimal, I would re think having the Ltd company.0
