Resistive screen, whilst not a deal breaker i'd go for an Archos from CPW

I'm not techie minded at all so please could you tell me if this would play youtube, iplayer etc? Looked at a cheap one on ebay but it won't do what my son will want it to do. Thanks in advance.

This one , though a smaller 8" has good reviews as does the company supplying them . It is a few pounds more though .

I am sure I have read that it's better to go for those tablets that use at least 2.3 Android to be able to access more apps .
It seems though that Skype video is difficult on most androids which is something we would like to be able to see the Grandkids .0 -
Stick with a known brand like Archos etc and at least you know there will be plenty of after market support from the Android community there's a version of Honeycomb (Android 3) for the Vega (Vegacomb). Most of the tablets if not all should do youtube, iplayer might be a bit different as it will need a newish version (10.3) but as long as the tablet you buy has access to the Market that will be ok, not all do out of the box though.
The Archos specs (CPW) are here for comparison

epad are becoming pretty well known now as are apad. The older version of the epad (as shown in the video on the link provided by the OP) seems to be going from £85 (UK seller) on ebay at the moment! To infinity and beyond!0

Resistive and very poor quality screen (probably why they didn't show a clear close up in the video like other tablet review videos do..). You will find this and many other knockoffs like it on ebay much cheaper than £149.99, usually from around £60 but even at that price they're best avoided due to them being very poor quality.
Spend a little more for an all round decent tablet and you'll be glad you gave this one a miss.0 -

Well known does not equal good quality and seeing as you can have a better tablet, 2" bigger with a MUCH better screen for LESS money it's not a deal i'd consider0
