how can it be their mistake....
the phones were being ordered through a cached google page, not the official O2 shop....of course its fraud....0 -
well if thats the case it should have been reported and removed, not all people ( me included)would know that.
the fact that there are two threads on this, is a let down by the people who psted it if they knew this was the case0 -
I have had three emails
The most recent says my order has been processed but the item is currently out of stock
They will get it to me shortly0 -
I've just contacted O2 Customer Services about these phone. I've been told that all orders up until 25th will be honoured and after that will either be asked to pay or be cancelled.
I'll hang on to our old phones.
They say there was a glitch but it's now fixed.0 -
oo-er! The plot thickens!!0

therefore if you have received a email confirming the order they must honour it as it has been accepted as stated in thier terms and conditions ?

i would think that that is right, but i suppose they can just say they are out of stock or some other excuse!
is there anything that we can do if they don't honour their terms?0 -
I would not bother kicking up a fuss if you receive nothing as it is a too good to be true freebie at the end of the day0

No offence, but calling them to attempt confirmation is a tad daft. This blag has been going on for at least a week, I know a few people whose phones have been delivered.
I doubt that it could stand up in court as fraud as the way it worked could have been a genuine attempt at ordering. Obviously none of them were though. Fairplay to O2 for honoring orders, quite rare for companies to give the benefit of the doubt in such a blatant case.0
