Mortgage exit, closing, redemption?- fees

Have just read in D.Mail, The FSA have said that increased mortgage exit fees charged by BS and Banks are too high and are not justified and are advising people to claim them back, I for one will be writing to A&L (again) to complain and ask for refund. I am feeling lucky this time.

Hi, count me in - I'll be doing same!
I'm in the process of moving away from a Cheltenham & Gloucester mortgage and intend to write to request a refund of the Closing Admin charge currently £225. I think it was either £35 or £50 in December 1996 (can't remember which - but if anyone knows please advise - thanks), which is at least a 450% increase!!
I'll post back to advise on the result.
