I did think about this but having been to our local (Milton KEynes) Cineworld last night I was not impressed. It had got very shabby, the chair in front of us was broken (the back was no longer fixed in place and went nearly horizontal!) they didn't have butter popcorn and the price for a drink was more expensive than the bar next door! Is this typical of Cineworld now or is MK just a bad example?MFIT No. 810

I did say to my H that next time I will be taking my own buttered popcorn in. He pointed out the signs saying you can't take your own food and drink in, but I am not sure how they can stop you if it is in your handbag etc and they don't see itMFIT No. 810 -

My Cineworld search your bags as you go in, partly because the Cineworld in my area is where 90% of all pirate DVD's are filmed0 -
I didn't know you weren't supposed to take your own stuff in.
We often make a big bag of popcorn and take drinks in as the prices are outrageous. We all evolve - get on with it0 -
Apparently they don't make money on tickets so that is why the drinks and snacks are so expensiveCome on you Irons0

I'd hate to have my bag searched for food !!! Surely they're breaching your human rights. Searching for drugs/weapons etc fine but food ???????0
