Santander statements stopped!

Hi hubs acc with santander is in collections as he is on self dmp. Santander wont give an acc num or sortcode over the phone (and we dont live near a branch) to pay online so he rings up and pays. No biggie but the statements have stopped so we dont have a record? Any advice?

Ring them up and ask for a statement, or make the effort to visit a branch. I'm not sure what kind of advice you're asking for exactly. Security proceedures are a pain but banks won't budge on them. You'll have to play by their rules despite the inconvenience.

  • Hi and thanks for the reply i will ask for a statement when i next ring. I just wondered how i could have a sort code and account for previous payment's but now it has moved departments i cant get one without going to a branch i only want to pay. I agree with what you say though about security. And thanks for taking the time to reply.x

Have you registered to bank online with them? Statements can be turned off there.
Make sure they don't charge for a statement, explain your not getting the ones you should.
