offset v fixed rate

hello all.

ive only recently been looking a threads regarding offset mortgages,.

I wondered if people think there better or not than fixed rate mortgages.
could have peeps views on them.

Could someone just tell me if i put money into a savings account every month, but draw some of it out from time to time, would this money still count towards the offsetting of the mortgage?

thanks for any help or info on the matter,.
