    yes but everyone starting up in business must at some point have only one customer;)
    Me thinks this electrician needs to do some cheap house rewiring jobs at the weekend and make sure he invoices them.:D

    Exactly which part of IR35 discusses the number of customers? No part of it, is the answer. Especially in this sector, it is very common for people to have one sole or dominant (over 90% of sales) customer. That does not make that person an employee, no way. How the contract is drafted and operated between the two parties is what counts.

    While we may differ on some points, I believe that we are all agreed that the op should make absolutely certain that he is self employed and not an employee of an 'employer' who sees the opportinity to avoid employer's NIC.
