i recently approached a mortgage broker who advised me that because I wanted a 100% mortgage on my share I would have to pay an exorbitant 7% interest rate. Think I may need to get a second opinion!!0

Nationwide did me a deal recently on SO. 5.18% 5 ear fixedthough this was just before the last rate rise and there were application fees of £499 I think. Get an independent mortgage adviser though.0

Mine is with Nationwide, 2 year fix, got the rate back in August though (4.89%) so you won't get anything that low now! I had a deposit of about 12%. Nationwide's flexibility is very good though. However you should speak to a professional broker - when you phone up a broker to make an enquiry make sure you mention that you would like to speak to somebody with some experience of shared ownership.
