Evening all,not been on here for ages, but been feeling really fed up lately.Been on our DMP with Payplan for 5 1/2 yrs now,no problems, but life is beginning to be a never ending boring battle  we do nothing as a family,as there is never any money,we go nowhere and basically we are just existing.I know I should be grateful we are fed, clothed and have a roof over our head, but over 5 years without even a night out is a bit much.I have no idea how I can change things and am feeling really low, help please :A

Be positive about it not negative !
I am now 71 months into an 84 month DMP with Payplan and the psychological positive thing for me will be next month when I have 12 months to go.
Like you, I have had times when I have been really hacked off at having no money BUT what has kept me going is the fact I will be debt free.
So dont be negative be positive in the thought that you WILL be debt free at the end and the kids can have a great time & you DONT have to worry.:T:T:T:):):T:T:T

I try and be positive, but we will never be debt free, our DMP was for 58yrs!!! we will more than likely be dead by then lol! I just want something to look forward to,not another 52 years of this.Sorry for the moaning,it's probably that time of year again.LIHDebt at highest £102k

bankruptcy may be the way forward. And you dont always have to loose you house. If you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...:think:0

Just wanted to send words of encouragement..you've done well so far, I know it's hard but keep at it and allow yourself some treats occasionally..0

we have considered bankruptcy many times, but have decided not to,we have been told we would lose our house,so don't want to go down that route,it's a bit of a double edged sword really,it's due to a house fire we are in this situation,we went through so much to get it rebuilt,we couldn't bear losing it after everythingDebt at highest £102k

Thank you,I wish there was some money left after everything is paid, for a little treat now and then, but we are really struggling right now,it feels like we are just surviving and nothing else.Debt at highest £102k

Is it worth talking to your DMP administrators and seeing if you can loosen the budget a little to give you the occasional treats?0 -
i appreciate that you don't want to go down the route of Bankruptsy, what about an IVA? 52 yrs is far to long to be on a DMP IMHO0
