Tescos are wearing a bit thin for me, had a call from dispatch saying my card was declined, but I know for sure they were supposed to take 28 quid and there was enough, before all discounts it came to 53 quid, wehn I called I asked them how much they were trying to take, they said 55, they told me they couldnt do anything so call cs, I did and they said that they were having problems with their sytem and all the guy could do was issue me 40 quid worth of vouchers and I would have to reorder, will do tonight, for a delivery tomorrow, tesco are crap.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

i know what's happened here... what asda and tesco do, probably sainsbury too is to reserve the full amount before discounts, they do this in case something is no longer on sale the day you get delivery yada yada, they also, though tesco strenuously denies this yet it happens EVERY time i order from them, take a £2 tester i guess, the money always goes back into my account but it always appears immediately after an order is made so i know it's them doing it. this explains why your card was declined and had the extra 2 quid on top of the full price before discounts etc
you gotta be careful about amending orders too because sometimes they reserve teh new amount again so they have two lots of money spoken for and can be slow to discharge those and thus allow the bank to let you have access to it, asda is particularly bad about that so i just don't amend things anymore, if i forget it waits til next time or i get it when i'm in town from lidl0
