What its worth too heavy

My penny box if very heavy its full of 2s and 1s with a few 50ps one pound coins plenty of fives and 20s too

BUt its too big to count for now it weighs 6 stones :rotfl:

anyone any idea how much is in it ? might have to take it to morrisons and use there coins to notes counter

    If it is mainly 2ps and 1ps, I would say 38kg of coins might contain £200 worth.

    plenty of 20s and 10s too few £1 and 50ps too I just took out a hand full that weighs 1 lb and then counted them cam to £5.65p so I make it about £350 to £450 total :T I am going to re tie wrap the lid and leave another year :rotfl:

    I agree it it was brass then about £200 I then will order the counter count the dosh and return the counter under ten day money back :cool:

    Alternatively, weigh the bags of coins on a pair of digital scales.

    per full bag, 1p/2p weighs 356g, 5p/10p 328g 20p 251g and £1 weigh 192g
    No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

    HSBC have machines that will count it for you if you have a bank account with them. Maybe other banks do as well as they won't charge you for counting!
