Banding doesnt just work on the size of a property- a small property in a reasonably good area could be valued as band A and so could a large property in a reasonably bad area.

It all depends on what the property's where valued as and in many areas bungalows are expensively valued in comparison to houses.
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.
  • no you cannot appeal a house you no longer have 'an interest ' in

but if it is too high and gets reduced - the council will refund you
