Form K18 Bankruptcy Land Charges Search

Hello

Does anybody know what effect a Bankruptcy entry has when it shows up on a K18 Land Charges Search Certificate?

How will this affect my mortgage application?

My application was all underway and now this has shown up, will I be refused?

I have never had a mortgage before?

They never asked on the application

Does this mean I will be refused now?

Is it a high street lender, or are you using a broker, it is the lenders decision, I can't tell you with so few details

Yes via a broker. Everything has been approved, credit checks etc and an offer made, it is at the last stage but the land registry search has just returned an entry on form k18 what will this mean?

It means the solicitor, will tell the lender you were bankrupt and ask for permission to continue

So does the solicitor ask permission from the broker to go ahead?

you really need to be having this discussuin with the solicitor and broker, if anyone is unhappy it wont go ahead, all parties must be in agreement

Surely the BR would have shown up on the credit search?
