Help please: Countrywide Repossessions

Hi All
It's been awhile since my last post (starting to sound a little like a cyber debt free confession!!) and since I logged in, even, so please forgive me for coming and asking for help now.....
I have come home this evening to a message on the answer machine as follows "Hi, It's Carole from Countrywide Repossessions. Please can you call me back on ............".
Now my logical mind is saying, don't panic as she has not stated the call is for me and also, I have no reason to warrant a call from a Repossession company!! Yes, I'm in debt but always pay on time. I just panic a little.
I have gone on the web and researched them. Found very little and did find an email address which I sent an email to and the email was returned.
I will call back again tomorrow morning!! I guess my questions, to you wonderfully helpful peeps, are:
1) Has anyone heard of them? Had any experience of them? Or even know what exactly they represent??
2) Are there any other steps I can take?
I'm a perpetual worrier and any calm and soothing words of wisdom right now would be great!!
Many thanks in advance.

Don't call them. This sounds like a company name designed to intimidate in much the same way that Stuka divebombers were fitted with sirens to frighten the people on the ground.
If they want to follow up a debt with you, wait it out and let them write.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Yes, that's a good point. I'll see how long I can manage it for before I break. Are they obliged to attempt communication in a means other than telephone? Probably sounds like a stupid question but I really don't have a clue.0
