My younger brother has asked for one from our parents for Christmas. Rang them this morning and they went straight down there and got one. Lots in the Pitse@ store about 10am today.
Sounds like a good player, smaller and has iplayer etc.
Thanks op!DD1 born 3/4/2011:happyhear

You can get it for £44.97. Go to a Currys store and get them to price match a slong as you have a Tesco store within 10 miles of it in stock.
Their policy is to price match and knock off an additional 10% of the difference.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0 -
Got one of these (in Tesco) on Saturday.
It was meant to be as a Christmas present for me. However, having trialled it (to make sure it works okay), I can't see us waiting that long!
Anybody know if this is a temporary offer, or a permanent price reduction?0 -
the BDP-S185 doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi. Normally manufacturers (including Sony) do this to make you buy an overpriced Wi-Fi adapter
I know you cant use a wi fi adapter but we may not buy this machine but one that has wi fi. Is it a neater solution and how much do these 'overpriced' adapters cost and where do they go? Thanks0 -

I didnt write that review so have no idea what kind of adapter etc you would need. Personally its not too bad as this will sit on a shelf and my router is in the next shelf up, so a simple cable should suffice.
I've had a confirmation thta mine has been issued to the store from the warehouse so looking forward to playing with it.
Store near to work (who had them on Saturday but none left) think it might be a "clearance" as they think Sony have a new on coming out (they think its about £200) and they are about to start a promotion involving the new HP film.0 -
Up to £120 now
Anyone know of any other deals on Sony Blu Ray players?0 -
if your router isnt close to your tv, you can use passthrough adaptors that send the signal via your electric cable
go for 200mbps ones something like these from ebuyer (other suppliers and brands are available)
